This
week has been really good. We started working a lot with our members and there
have already been really good results from it. We found a part member family
while we were doing member visits with our first counselor in the branch
presidency and she seems super promising. Her mother in law is a returning less
active that really wants her family to come back strong, and so we have a
return appointment with them for Saturday. We’ve just been going with all the
members to get them to doing their home teaching. Weird how things progress
when that gets done. Haha
Eduardo
was also able to receive the priesthood this week, and he and his wife stayed
for all three hours! We had a great gospel principles class with him. His
wife’s the young woman’s president now so that’s going to be super good, the
young women have been struggling here.
We’ve
continued to work with Javier this week, and we’ve been able to bring a few
members over with us now. We found out that there’s really only one thing
holding him back from being baptized right now. He has his whole family back in
Mexico, and because of the way he was living before, every time he talks to his
wife, she just gets mad at him and it makes him feel really down. So he said
that’s the only time he has a desire to drink now. So he wants to fix that
situation so that he can have a much better chance of not falling after. Now
that we know his holdback, we can start to focus on helping him with it.
We’ve
got some conference and interviews this week, so hopefully I find out what I’ll
be doing the rest of my mission. He usually knows by this point of the mission.
I’m excited.
Love
y’all!
